Experience
New Mommy Media, Founder/Executive Producer; San Diego, CA- 2012- Present
After spending years producing parent-related productions for the web, I decided to venture out on my own and use that experience to launch my own company. New Mommy Media is designed to help families ease into parenthood by providing helpful information from both peers and experts. The company currently produces three weekly online radio shows: PregTASTIC, New Moms New Babies and Mommy’s Milk and More.
PregTASTIC.com, Host/Producer; San Diego, CA- 2010- Present
In addition to owning the company, I’m also the host and producer of PregTASTIC, a weekly online radio show by pregnant women, for pregnant women about the fantastic journey to motherhood. I coordinate and moderate the interviews with our guest experts each week. I also blog and videoblog on the website, engage audiences through our social networking platforms and represent the show as the official spokesperson.
SunnyGault.com, Owner; San Diego, CA- 2006- Present
SunnyGault.com is my personal website and my one-person production company dedicated to freelance and personal projects, including independent television/web series, professional voice-overs and public speaking engagements. My most notable project was the launch of the television pilot, San Diego Experience, an entertainment magazine television series, which aired on San Diego’s FOX and UPN affiliates in February 2006.
DECA.TV, Producer/Host; Santa Monica, CA- 2008- 2009
I partnered with DECA (Digital Entertainment Corporation of America) to produce the internet series, Momversation, a candid conversation starring the web’s top female bloggers, which was nominated for a Webby its inaugural season. I was also host and associate producer for DECA’s series Dog and Pony, a show featuring fast-paced interviews with innovators shaking up the business word.
Veoh Networks, Executive Producer; San Diego, CA- 2006-2008
I created my own position at the internet video start-up, Veoh Networks. After pursuing my own videoblog called “Anchor in PJs”, I discovered a need for online content creators to network with one another. So, I created an internet series for Veoh Networks called “Viral”, which was also referred to as the “TV Guide” for the internet. I produced, hosted and edited four seasons of the show, totaling 90 episodes. Viral was nominated for two Webby awards, was an official Webby Honoree and was viewed more than 20 million times.
XETV, Freelance Reporter/Writer; San Diego, CA- 2005
I joined the FOX6 news team shortly after getting married and moving to beautiful sunny San Diego. It was a major market jump for me, so I started by doing some freelance writing for the FOX in the Morning show. That eventually lead to freelance reporting for the morning show and evening newscast.
KNDO, Anchor/Reporter; Yakima, WA- 2002-2004
Washington rain was no match for me. Actually, Yakima is known for their 300 days of yearly sunshine, so I was quite happy. While there, I was the NBC affiliate’s main news anchor/reporter for their early and late night newscasts. I also produced/hosted news briefs for the morning shows of a locally-owned radio station group. When I needed to burn off some energy, I taught step and spinning classes at the Yakima YMCA.
WLUC, Anchor/Reporter; Marquette, MI- 2000-2002
This was my first “official” job in the television industry. I was hired exactly three days after graduating with my degree in broadcast news (Actually, I received a “B.S.” in Journalism, which I still find extremely humorous). I immediately moved to Marquette, where I was a main news anchor/reporter for the NBC affiliate. I also updated stories on the station’s website and submitted regular news alerts to viewer’s cell phones. In my “spare” time, I was the head coach for the Northern Michigan University dance team.
