Laptop Laser Etching

Some people decorate their cubicles... I decorate my laptop.

The idea came to me in November. I was scrolling through some of my friend's photos on flickr, and I noticed a a fabulous design someone had created to be etched into the lid of the laptop. The idea was way too cool NOT to steal, so I did. The only question was... what type of companies specialize in this kind of work?

After searching various blogs, there was one company that stood out, Tagged Industries. Luckily, it was located within 10 miles from my house. What? You mean, I don't have to ship it to India? Lord knows, I can't be away from my laptop for more than 24 hours!

For Christmas, my husband surprised me with a gift certificate from the company. I went back and forth with them regarding designs, and eventually purchased one through istockphoto. I customized the design a bit and submitted it to the company. The actual laser etching was completed within an eight hour period.

I'm a tad bit biased, but I think it looks amazing... better than what I imagined!

It's very "Sunny".
