Keeping Safe

One of the worst mistakes we can make is to take our safety for granted- and that applies to both men and women, neither of which are invincible. I'm all for taking extra precautions, even if it seems a bit drastic. You just never know what could happen...

I was reminded of the importance of keeping safe this week when a young San Diego woman went missing. As of now, thousands of people are still looking for her.

Sometimes things happen in life that you just can't prevent, but there's no harm in being prepared. In this episode, we explore three mistakes experts say women commonly make that turn them into easy victims.

Gender Testing

As many of you already know, my husband and I are pregnant with our first child. As a mom-to-be, I've noticed there are some common follow-up questions people ask when they learn you're expecting... including "is it a boy or girl?"

Gender testing has been in the news a lot recently. Apparently, there is a blood test on the market that can reveal the gender of a child as early as five weeks into a pregnancy. Obviously, this raises some ethical questions. Here's a link to a recent MSNBC article.

I definitely have my own opinions regarding gender testing, but I'm curious to hear what you think. Is knowing more earlier in the pregnancy a good thing or are we taking this too far?

Customer Service

Seriously... what is it with companies that don't value quality customer service? In one week, I had the best and worst service from two different businesses. I will NEVER go back to the business who gave me bad customer service, however, I have already plugged the business who gave me great service to my family and friends.

Tell me your best or worst customer service experience... and don't be afraid to use names. We all should be forewarned of these companies as we head into the holiday season. :)

Digital Dependence

Hello, my name is Sunny, and I have a problem. I'm way too dependent on anything digital, specifically computers and the internet. In this video, I'll admit the top three pieces of technology I cannot live without. Hopefully, by talking about this issue, I can overcome it :)

Online Dating Sites

This crossroad is ripped from the headlines... sort of, if you consider my Facebook wall posts to be "headlines".

Many of my facebook friends seem to have some strong opinions when it comes to online dating sites and the people who use them. I'm extremely interested in this topic because I'm working on a new project focusing on people who are trying to find love online.
