Biography

Sunny made her producing debut at age seven. Casting her friends as the stars, Sunny organized elaborate talent shows in her living room for her family. She arranged everything from music and choreography to costumes and sets. She even passed out theater tickets and programs at the door. And, of course, each performance was videotaped.

Some things never change. Today, Sunny is still creating shows and videotaping them. But, this time, for a larger audience.

Sunny's love for dance eventually led to a passion for musical theater. Her dance instructor cast her in her first play at fourteen. One year later, she became a professional actor, performing in the popular musical West Side Story. She later starred in shows such as A Chorus Line, Little Shop of Horrors and Into the Woods. Sunny began combining her performance and her production backgrounds in college by majoring in broadcast news. She attended The Ohio State University and graduated magna cum laude from Ohio University's Scripps School of Journalism in June 2000.

Her career began as an award-winning television news anchor and reporter. While Sunny loved covering the news, she missed the excitement of the entertainment industry. In September 2005, she took matters into her own hands and launched SunnyGault.com, her personal website and one-person production company dedicated to freelance and personal projects, including independent television/web series, professional voice-overs and public speaking engagements. Her first major project was San Diego Experience, a television pilot airing on San Diego’s FOX and UPN affiliates. Sunny was the creator, executive producer, and co-host of the entertainment magazine series.

After months of seeking sponsorship for her series, Sunny turned her focus toward the internet where productions were created for a fraction of the cost. She immediately dusted off her Sony HI-8 Handycam, connected it to her computer and started producing an internet series out of her own backyard. That series caught the attention of executives at Veoh Networks, a popular video sharing site based in San Diego. In September 2006, Sunny was hired to host and produce their original series, Viral, which has since been labeled as the "TV Guide of the Internet". Viral was nominated for two Webby Awards in its inaugural season, received an honorary Webby for its final season and was viewed more than 20 million times.

In August 2008, Sunny partnered with DECA (Digital Entertainment Corporation of America) as host and associate producer of Dog and Pony, an internet series featuring innovators shaking up the business world. She also worked with some of web's top female bloggers to produce Momversation, another DECA production, featured on CNN, LIVE! with Regis and Kelly and The Oprah Winfrey Show.
